I've been using vino santo in my tiramisus lately... it is just delicious...

i've never used marsala so i must get some and try it, i used to stick with kahlua, either way it is the most perfect end to a meal, i love tiramisu!!

Your tiramisu is wonderful, I have made one tonight but it's more yellowish, wonder if this is because I did not have cream in my recipe? It looks more like the original recipe of Le Beccherie. I wonder which is right or wrong.

Hi Miri, I found your blog via your husband's photo blog and I'm glad I did, because your recipes look amazing. I'm definitely going to try this tiramisu one as it's a favourite dish of mine. You should totally open your own bakery... :)

Thank you everyone for your nice compliments!

Dear Ingrid - I'm so sorry it took me ages to answer!! I'm using a Marsala wine I bought at a supermarket and cost me about 10$. It's a Marsala Fine wine, which is the simplest Marsala type (there are also Reserve and Superior and more I think), and it's manufactured by a company named "Cantine Rallo".
I keep it outside the fridge along with all the other wines, and I think it's supposed to last a long time, just like other red wines. It doesn't have an expiration date in any case. But you can also use it for other purposes - such as making chicken marsala, or a beef steak in Marsala sauce. These are just the recipes I'm familiar with that use Marsala, but surely there are more.
